But that he’s also a patriot was evident recently at an event in Delhi where the superstar encouraged people to unite and work towards the betterment of the country. The starcast of the forthcoming movie Wanted partnered Zee News to motivate and educate people to come together and forget all differences to make ‘India First’.

At an oath taking ceremony organised by the channel at Vijay Chowk, celebrities interacted with the youth and formed a human chain to spread the message. Appealing to fellow citizens, Salman said, “I am an Indian. Nationalism is my religion. ‘Wanted’ responsible citizens who think about India first.” Salman and other celebrities encouraged people to forget all differences like caste, language, religion and region and unite to work towards India’s progress. “We should unite and do everything for the betterment of our country,” added the actor. Salman and Prabhu Deva took part in a signature campaign and encouraged people to pledge to make India first in all instances. In addition, students from educational institutions also performed a skit and cultural programmes in sync with the initiative.
